With great sadness, we remember two outstanding volunteers for their work on behalf of the global IEEE Life Members community:
Michael Robert Gray
Michael Robert Gray died on August 25, 2023, in Saint Charles, MO. Michael was the Chair of the Saint Louis LMAG and a Life Senior Member. During his career, Michael was a 27-year member of the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He was a manager at the Boeing Company in Saint Louis.
Russell E. Theisen
Russell E. Theisen died on March 26, 2023, in Colorado Springs, CO. Russell was the organizer and first Chair of the Pikes Peak Life Member Affinity Group and a Life Senior Member. Russell was on the Governing Board of the IEEE Computer Society in the 1970s and 1980s in multiple Vice President positions. Russell started his career with IBM, where he was involved with the IBM 360-20 development, one of the earlier mainframe computers. He later worked in military electronics for Martin Marietta, SCI-Sanmina, and Lockheed Martin until his retirement.
