June 2024 – Home and Small Business Best Practices in Cyber Security

For the June meeting, the Alabama Section has invited Joe Parker of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to present program on “Cyber Security Threats & Best Practices” APPLIED TO HOME AND SMALL BUSINESS. CISA is the Nation’s risk advisor. The Agency protects the Nation’s critical infrastructure from physical and cyber threats by working with partners to defend against today’s threats and collaborating to build a more secure and resilient infrastructure for the future.
Joseph “Joe” Parker serves as a Cybersecurity Advisor (CSA) with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), based in Huntsville, AL. As a CSA, Mr. Parker provides cybersecurity assistance to critical infrastructure owners and operators within both private and public sectors. CSAs introduce organizations to various CISA cybersecurity products and services, along with other public and private resources, and act as liaisons to CISA cyber programs. CSAs can provide and coordinate cyber preparedness and resiliency assessments, share threat information, and facilitate incident coordination and support in times of cyber threat and disruption.
This virtual event will be held on Monday, June3th, 2024. All attendees are requested to register for the virtual meeting on vTools. Registration helps with getting PDH forms emailed to participants. Please email [email protected] after attending the event if you want a PDH certificate.
