The new Thompson Okanagan LMAG held its inaugural hybrid meeting in July 2025 on the Okanaga College Kelowna Campus in the southern interior region of British Columbia, Canada.

Welcoming remarks were provided by Thompson Okanagan Section Chair, Youry Khmelevsky, and by LMAG Chair, S. Carl Zanon. Wolfram Lunscher, R7 LM Coordinator, and Ljiljana Trajkovic, Ph.D, P.Eng, Life Fellow, provided brief presentations. Kristina Cormier, Chair of Okanagan College Student Branch and R7 Western Region Student Representative, and Dylan Huitema, Student Branch Secretary, also talked.
A total of 14 people participated, including IEEE Life Members, Section Members, students, and guests. The IEEE Foundation Life Member Fund funded the event through the Life Member Committee.
