The technical talk was by Gracie Pereira, Managing Director of Accenture Security, on Cybersecurity, Augmented by AI, and the Effects of Quantum Computing—highlighting trends in the use of AI in cybersecurity threat detection and how quantum computing will alter the cybersecurity landscape.
The new Section Officers were announced. Masood Ejaz, Ph.D., was elected Section Chair, Maneck Master, Ph.D., vice-chair, Joe Juisai, treasurer; and Kimberly Fullenkamp, secretary. IEEE Region 3 Area 4 Chair Raul Ortega (LM) highlighted the service of Maneck Master, the LMAG Chair who has served the section’s Life Members over the past two years.
