IEEE Life Members from the Central Texas Section LMAG participated in Science Thursday for the fourth year at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas.
The event is held monthly in conjunction with Central Texas Discover Engineer. This event provides hands-on STEM activities for K-12 students visiting the museum. IEEE Life Members manned tables with hands-on demonstrations, interacting with about 200 students, parents, and teachers.
There were tables with a Van de Graaf static electricity generator, an old-fashioned string telephone to show vibration and waves, play dough circuits, and interesting geology samples reacting to UV light.
