The IEEE Life Member Committee announces the first-ever IEEE Life Member Conference, to be held in 2024.
While still in the planning phases, the new IEEE Life Member Conference will be an event designed for Life Members and senior members of the IEEE. The location and dates for the conference are currently undecided, but the committee is targeting April 2024. Possible cities include Las Vegas, Boston, Washington, DC, Chicago, Houston/Austin.
The conference program will be a mix of technology-based presentations, maintaining good health and vitality information, leading local events, and social activities. Speakers will be invited by the conference management team who represent decision-maker-level individuals from corporate and governmental entities.
The objectives of the conference include providing members with opportunities to:
- Become better mentors, leaders, and resource people
- Learn more about new and emerging technologies in selected IEEE fields of interest
- Become more informed about current corporate leadership and management philosophies
- Meet the corporations and engineers responsible for creating new and innovative consumer products directed at aging populations and the Life Member audience
- Learn more about Life Member Affinity Group (LMAG) and the Life Member Committee (LMC) operations and resources
- Network with other Life Members and technical professionals
