After the great East Japan Earthquake, the ECP "Continuity of Electricity" was proposed in the white paper of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Based on this basic concept, the Japanese smart city standard was established as an international standard in 2020, and many standardization technical committees are working to enhance and strengthen this standard for disaster prevention. It is hoped that this will promote the social implementation of smart cities that have autonomous recovery functions in the event of severe disasters.
