Radio Controlled Drones are very popular hobby topics. IEEE Spectrum recently featured an article about Quad Copter Racing and "Artificial Intelligence". There are very ethusiastic RC Flying Clubs locally. Lexington Model Airplane Club flies from the facility with a 600 foot asphalt runway and a covered pavilion. Clark County Barnstormers fly from a grass runway east of Winchester and indoors at the Community Center. The Clark County Float Fliers take off and land amphibians on a pond near Winchester. Airplanes range from ultralight fixed wings thru quad copters, balsa models, and extend thru jets…."humming birds to eagles +".
Fred Kendig will lead the demo and talk.
At 10:30am Tuesday, October 17 IEEE will visit the LMAC Field for a QUAD COPTER DRONE DEMO and TOUR, weather permitting.
