The binary star system T Coronae Borealis (T CrB) is a recurrent nova binary system about 3000 ly away in the CrB constellation. Invisible to the unaided eye normally at magnitude ~10, it is expected to brighten to naked eye visibility m=~2 this year (2024). This only happens every 80 years or so and will be avidly watched by professional and amateur astronomers alike.
