Loading Events

The new committee of the EPFL IEEE student branch restarts activities. Our team decided to rename the Stammtisch event as "IEEE After Hours" to attract more students.
The interest of the team is to focus initially on startups in robotics .
Our first speaker, Dr. Melvin Haas, Founder of Isochronic AG, will present:
“From invention to industrial automation revolution: Isochronic AG’s journey estblishing simultaneous pick & place robotics”
Isochronic AG’s journey from 2020–2025 illustrates how an innovative patent discovered through various robotics-customer interactions can spark an entirely new paradigm in industrial robotics. The presentation highlights the company’s journey from inception to our decisive market pivot after showcasing our innovation at the AUTOMATICA exhibition in 2022, the reality of navigating challenges across technology, fundraising, and early customer adoption, and the transition from prototype to a globally scalable product. Finally, it explores the learnings behind scaling the business from invention to impact — offering EPFL engineers a concrete blueprint for turning deep-tech ideas into industrial revolutions.
After the talk, an apéro will close the event.
Do not hesitate to join, with friends, it is free to all !
