Please join the Central Tennessee IEEE in Nashville on November 20th, for a lunch presentation on the IEEE 2030.7 Standard for Microgrid Control Systems and a case study of Microgrid implementation at Middle Tennessee Electric's Lebanon Office.
IEEE 2030.7-2017 which defines the functions of a microgrid controller is preparing for its ten-year renewal. Learn about the features defined in the existing standard and potential changes in store for the future of microgrids.
We'll also have a presentation from Middle Tennessee Electric to describe the microgrid project they undertook at their Lebanon offices. This project brings together solar panels, battery storage, and backup generators, all coordinated by a central controller for dependable energy. Project goals, challenges, and lessons learned will be presented.
