Also of interest to IEEE Life Members:
We are welcome to attend meetings of the GVGE (Grand Valley Group
of Engineers). This group has been meeting for more that 100 years
(yes, 100). Its members have been generally from Waterloo, Kitchener,
Cambridge, locations along the Grand River, and from the Hamilton
region. They have contributed to making the region a Canadian hub
of innovation.
Meetings start with a social hour at 6 pm, followed by a dinner at 7 and
a speaker. Some very distinguished guests have spoken in the past.
Events are held approximately monthly from the Fall to April.
Various venues have been used but recently the Edelweiss Tavern in
Kitchener has been selected. There is a charge for the meal.
The next two events will be held on October 19 and November 16.
To attend, you have only to send an email to [email protected] but it is
best to subscribe to their mailing list at https://gvge.org/
I encourage you to give it a try.
