This program will cover shock, arc flash and arc blast. In the late 1980s members of the IEEE/PCIC became aware of these hazards and they hired Bussmann's test lab to do a series of tests. This testing encouraged many articles in the IEEE/IAS magazine and the development of the new standards NFPA-70E and IEEE 1584. This presentation will provide an overview of the testing at the Bussmann Lab and future design considerations.
