In a letter to IEEE Life members, IEEE asks volunteers to review IEEE eLearning courses. Read the letter below:
IEEE Volunteer Assistance Requested to Review IEEE eLearning courses
To: IEEE Life Members
The Course Categorization Committee within the Continuing Education Committee of the IEEE Educational Activities (EA) Board has undertaken the project of reviewing and evaluating over 300 IEEE eLearning courses on the IEEE Learning Network (ILN).
In particular, IEEE volunteers are reviewing the courses to determine if they are still useful, accurate, and relevant. All courses are about one hour in length and contain both video and audio content.
If you or a colleague are interested in volunteering to help with this effort, we ask that you please contact Jennifer McClain, Senior Manager, IEEE Education Products at [email protected]. We will supply you with a choice of courses to review based on your interest and expertise. Access is provided at no cost and reviewers are eligible to earn PDHs and/or CEUs associated with the courses. There is a short course review checklist consisting of about ten simple yes/no questions, so the review time should entail no more than 1 to 1.5 hours per course. Your responses will go directly to the Course Categorization Committee to support this important effort.
Thank you for your consideration and kind assistance.
Sincerely,
Jason K. Hui, Ph.D., PMP
