The IEEE Bulgaria Section LMAG organized its fourth round table on “Increasing the interest of high-school students in scientific and engineering professions.” The round table was held at the Artillery, Air Defense, Communications, and Information Faculty of the Vasil Levski National Military University in Shumen, Bulgaria, in September 2024.
More than 30 high school teachers and people from the industry took part. Current situations, trends, and approaches for improvement were discussed. The recovering Bulgarian industry needs more and more highly qualified engineers, while the preferences of young people are directed more towards the humanitarian professions. Bulgarian LMAG organized a series of round tables on the same topic in various Bulgarian cities. Previous round tables were held in Sofia, Ruse, and Varna.
