You’re invited to the 2023 IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit (IEEE VIC Summit) & Honors Ceremony, which will be held at the Hilton Atlanta on Friday, 5 May 2023.
The IEEE VIC Summit and Ceremony is IEEE’s premier event, highlighting the innovation and creativity of engineering, science, and technology through provocative, educational, and inspiring talks with a vision for the future. The event draws in individuals from all over the world, from student-young professionals to mid-high-level professionals in the tech ecosystem.
The Summit culminates with the IEEE Honors Ceremony Gala—an evening of festivities that include the celebration of the contributions of some of the greatest minds—who have advanced technology for the benefit of humanity.

IEEE James H. Mulligan, Jr. Education Medal
During the Honors Gala, the Life Members sponsored IEEE James H. Mulligan, Jr. Education Medal will be presented to James J. Truchard, “For the development of LabVIEW and establishing worldwide programs to enhance hands-on learning in laboratories and classrooms.” The Medal recognizes the importance of the educator’s contributions to the vitality, imagination, and leadership of the members of the engineering profession.
Knowledge Alliance is our mentor-mentee program that takes place at the IEEE VIC Summit between career professionals and undergraduate students. It pairs individuals based on their professional interests and helps them establish a mentoring relationship for guidance in multiple areas, including career, education, leadership, and volunteering. Participation in the program is open to all attendees who register to attend the event.
