Mentoring
Spark potential. Looking for a way to help the next generation of engineers and technologists? Mentoring provides an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences.
Mentoring can address different levels of need: a middle school student may need help with math homework or life issues; university students may need more career and higher education guidance; and young professionals may need help with professional positioning. Participate locally or online through the IEEE Mentoring Program.

Group Mentoring Initiative
Participate in vibrant, intimate gatherings where experienced mentors share their journeys, guiding you and your peers through the complexities of career development. Group mentoring is more than just networking; it’s about forging connections, exchanging diverse perspectives, and empowering one another to reach new heights.
By combining student engagement, the wisdom of IEEE Life Members, and collaboration with groups such as IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Women in Engineering, and IEEE Senior Members, this initiative aims to foster a supportive community that inspires collective growth.
This initiative will go beyond technical training. It focuses on the human, operational, and leadership capabilities that employers worldwide identify as essential in early-career professionals, such as:
- Communication Excellence
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking
- Organizational & Personal Effectiveness
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Operations & Industry Acumen
Experience matters. Mentorship multiplies it. Help IEEE build well-rounded professionals, not just graduates.
