A joint IEEE Region 1 & 2 Student Activities Conference (SAC23) was held at Marshall University College of Engineering and Computer Sciences in Huntington, WV, in October 2023.
The conference showcased various competitions, including the Micro Mouse, Sumo Bot, and Paper Competitions. These events were made possible, in part, by a generous grant from the IEEE Life Members Committee. The Sumo Bot competition, in particular, offers a unique opportunity for student teams to compete directly against each other. In this challenge, teams design, build, and code their robots, which then act autonomously to push the enemy robot outside the arena.
