On April 4, 2025, a Mentoring Workshop was held during the 124th Region 8 Committee Meeting at the Hotel Intercontinental in Budapest, Hungary. The event was organized by the Industry Applications Society Affinity Group Mentoring Team (IAS AGMT). The goal of the event was to bring together mentors and mentees and introduce mentoring programs through presentations by different affinity groups, including the IAS Life Members. This was followed by discussions on careers in academia, industry, and consulting as well as the role of IEEE in professional careers. Ten students from the Obuda University (OU) and Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE) were mentored by 28 committee members. The students participated in the opening dinner and closing social event, offering great networking opportunities.
