The Life Member Committee budget is designed to support a multitude of diverse projects, programs, and initiatives that are important to the Life Member community. Funding for Life member initiatives comes from dues (Life members donate what would be member dues to the Life Member fund), gifts and donations, and investment income. Since the Life members are financially supported through the IEEE Foundation, all donations should be made directly to the IEEE Foundation by selecting the Life Members account dropdown option.
All Life Members Committee and Life Members Affinity Group funding go towards:
- Engaging Life members and creating relationships with other members with fewer years of volunteer service
- Creating value bridges between the IEEE, other entities, and organizations
- Supporting Life member global, regional, and local interests, programs, and initiatives
- Helping our members actively promote volunteerism at all levels within IEEE and for the general public

Capturing Life member historical information, perspectives on technological advancements and the impact that has been made on humanity; support of awards and recognition programs.
