The inaugural IEEE Asia-Pacific Student Summit was held on September 16 last year, with a Student Leadership Contest following from September 17-31.
The goal of the Summit was to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of IEEE operations and activities to nurture the students as future leaders.
The IEEE Life Member Committee partially funded the event, and Rajendra Asthana, R10 Chair, Life Member Committee, presented “How to become a Life Member” during the plenary session. His presentation offered insights and guidance on achieving Life Membership, showcasing IEEE’s commitment to lifelong connections and contributions.
The IEEE Student Leadership Contest, held alongside the Student Summit, allowed students to enhance student leadership skills and learn project proposal creation and presentation. Students submitted proposals aligned with IEEE objectives, with the winning teams receiving funding to execute their projects. The contest was open to all student branches in Region 10.
