In May 2023, a group of IEEE Life Members from Central Texas LMAG looked inside the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Dr. Lawrence Larson, Central Texas Section Chair, and his wife have been doing volunteer work at this center for many years. Larson pointed out the Owl family had returned to their nest this spring. A local photographer had his long-distance lens set up to take pictures of the baby owl when they raised their head upward.
The friendly lady tour guide walked us through the central garden area and explained all the different kinds of native vegetation in this center, especially the wide collection of Texas native wildflowers and plants. After the tour, the group continued to walk outside to see more, then stopped by the Café to have lunch.
