Binghamton LMAG event 2The IEEE Binghamton Section, Binghamton Life Member Affinity Group, and the Aerospace and Electronic Systems Chapter hosted an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Symposium on 16 September 2022 at Binghamton University. There were 12 speakers from industry and academia sharing their experiences and expertise in unmanned air systems and applications.

The symposium was held as a hybrid event, with over 100 people attending in person or virtually. The onsite attendees were able to see UAS demonstrations from local pilots and engineers. The symposium included several academic sessions discussing innovative research and student competitions. Some of the competitive teams placed near the top of global UAS competitions.

Binghamton LMAG eventFollowing the symposium, a networking event was held for symposium organizers, speakers, students, and local representatives from industry and academia to discuss the various talks and other UAS interests.
