On May 8, 2025, the Central Texas Life Member Affinity Group (LMAG) partnered with Central Texas Discover Engineering to host STEAM Lab at the Bullock Museum in Austin, Texas. The Life Members, along with EE students from University of Texas in Austin and Texas A&M student branches, manned a demonstration table which included Van de Graaf generators, rocks & minerals interacting with UV light and Squishy Circuits built from Play-Doh. IEEE members participating in the event were James Mercier, Luis Basto, Phoebe Franklin, Seth Mayhue, John Purvis, Clyde Springen, and Thomas Starnes.
