The Mississippi Life Member Affinity Group hosted a full-day training event for Section volunteers at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Thad Cochran Center on September 28, 2024.
All units of the Section were represented including Excom, LMAG, YP, WIE, and all Student Branches.
Following a briefing by each unit on their past year’s projects, the group received training on subjects such as finance procedures, membership levels, and how to use various tools including IEEE eNotice, an electronic newsletter service that allows officers to send notices to organizational unit members, and vTtools, an online web application for officer reporting.
After the meeting the USM student branch gave the group a tour of their work area.
