We’re so excited to welcome Teofilo Ramos to the LM Committee!

Teofilo dedicated his professional career to teaching Electrical Engineering at Tecnologico de Monterrey, a prestigious university in Mexico. He served as a faculty member, Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department, Dean of Engineering and Dean of Institutional Effectiveness. He currently serves as an Emeritus Professor.

He played an active role in securing the accreditation of engineering programs in Mexico, and in creating the CACEI (Mexican Accreditation Board of Engineering Programs) where he currently serves as President of Board the Directors and is on the Board of Delegates representing IEEE.

Other IEEE volunteer efforts include serving as Monterrey Section Chair, VP of Educational Activities, Region 9 Director, Chair of R9 Nominations & Appointments, Chair of R9 Awards & Recognitions, member of the Fellow Committee for several years, and member of several IEEE awards committees.

As the newest addition to the LM Committee, Teofilo is looking forward to assisting and motivating LMAGs looking for and sharing best practices.

You might wonder why Teofilo is a devoted Steelers fan: following his undergraduate studies at Tecnologico de Monterrey, he earned his MSc and Phd in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh!
