On 15 October 2025, a combined meeting of the Hamilton and Kitchener-Waterloo Life Member Affinity Groups (LMAG) was held. Seven Life Members heard Gordon Harris, an early member of what became IMAX Corporation and Director of Submersible Camera Engineering for the 1990s excursion to film the Titanic.
He gave an overview of the scale of the Titanic and its construction, and then spoke about the extensive preparations required to film from the two Russian submersibles that were available. He finished with some of his personal impressions and experiences, including the, fortunately brief, fouling of an opening in the Titanic hull by one of the submersibles.
