We will be touring the 1819 Innovation Hub at the University of Cincinnati. The Hub is a center for industry, startups, and entrepreneurs, that fosters collaboration between academia and business through services like technology transfer, venture labs, and a makerspace. (This is the old Sears Building with a new facade.)
Directions:
Google Maps will bring you to Winslow Street parking lot. There are pay parking lots on both sides of Winslow (roughly $7 for 2 hours – there are instructions on several signs for you to use an app or text to pay). You may park on the street for free.
From the Winslow Street side of the building, the entrance is on the right end of the building. Take the stairs to the second floor. When you enter the second floor, there is a lounge area where we will gather. Just for reference, this end of the second floor also has the Venture Lab and the Learning Lab.
There is no coordinated lunch for this meeting. Eat before or nearby is KFC, Rally's, and across Lincoln Ave in the large black building there is a cafe that serves sandwiches and flat breads. (The cafe is part of the Digital Futures complex; the address is 3090 Exploration Ave.)
Please gather in the Lounge area of the second floor by 1:15.
The tour will start at 1:30. Our host is RJ Sargent.
This event is limited to 15 attendees.
If you plan to attend you need to register.
