Hello Life Members,
I hope this message finds you well.
Last year, our section proudly established a Life Members Affinity Group (LMAG) to better recognize, engage, and connect our Life Members with one another and with the broader activities of the IEEE Evansville–Owensboro Section. While the group has been officially approved, we have not yet had the opportunity to formally come together, and we are excited to take that important first step.
We are especially pleased to share that we recently welcomed Douglas Askegard to our section. Douglas is a Life Member with a wealth of professional experience and a strong passion for service and mentorship. He has graciously offered to support the organization and management of our LMAG, and we are grateful for his willingness to help us build a strong and meaningful community for our Life Members.
With this in mind, we are delighted to invite you to our first official Life Members virtual Meet & Greet, scheduled for:
– Wednesday, January 28th

Purpose of the Meet & Greet
This initial meeting will focus on:
– Getting to know one another
– Sharing the vision and purpose of the Life Members Affinity Group
– Discussing ideas for future activities, engagement, and collaboration
– Identifying ways Life Members can stay connected with the section and support students and professionals
