On December 15, 2024, members of the Delhi Life Member Affinity Group visited Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India in New Delhi.  The residence dates from the British Raj and was formerly called Viceroy’s House and Government House. The residence features a 340-room main building on 130-hectare (320-acre) grounds. The group toured several ceremonial rooms including the Ashok Mandap used to greet foreign delegations prior to state dinners; Ganantra Mandap notable for being the location of the historic swearing in of the Independent India’s first government; and the Banquet Hall used for hosting state dinners.
