The IEEE Life Members Evolution Conference, led by Conference Chair Michael Andrews, was a landmark event that brought together distinguished leaders, innovators, and young scholars to explore how technology is transforming society. Keynotes by Dean Kamen (FIRST® and DEKA Research), Dr. Karen Panetta (Tufts University), and Rick Robinson (AARP AgeTech Collaborative) featured discussions on AI, AgeTech, digital inclusion, and sustainable innovation.
The conference also celebrated IEEE Life members’ inspiration by spotlighting young scholars: Michael Lange (ML in bioengineering, Tufts Univ.), Claire Xu (award-winning AI Alzheimer’s detection, The Harker School), William Xu (cardiothoracic clinical research, Emory Univ.), and Haritha Karthikeyan (neuroscience research, UCSD).
