On November 6, 2024, the IEEE Belgium & Germany LMAG held a mini-conference at the University of Hasselt in Belgium on the groundbreaking Einstein Telescope project.  There were 52 participants and five speakers from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. The planned underground gravity wave detector will feature three 10-kilometer long tunnels at a depth of 250-300 meters that would be located at the borders of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. The detector would provide unprecedented sensitivity in detecting ripples in spacetime to revolutionize gravity wave astronomy.
