Earlier in 2025, the Atlanta LMAG hosted a Search and Rescue Robotic Competition and Networking Event in conjunction with the Atlanta chapters of the Computational Intelligence, Communications, and Computer Societies. The event was held at Kennesaw State University in Marietta, Georgia.
Twenty-five students participated in using XRP robotics kits to perform tasks such as Search & Rescue, Locate & Identify Emergency Beacons, Pinpoint Potential Stranded Victims, Retrieve Select Objects, and Detect Critical Materials. Prizes were awarded.
The event was also the inaugural kickoff meeting for the Atlanta Computation Intelligence Society, and Lakshmithejaswi Narasannagari spoke to the group via video conference on AI.
